Horse Owner Arrested on Charges of Cruelty & Neglect
VAND. CO., IN - Eighteen horses are being removed from stables at a home on 2400 South Green River Road, after the horses' owner has been charged with multiple charges of animal cruelty & neglect.

Alleged Thief Arrested At Evansville Hospital
EVANSVILLE - A man visiting his wife in the hospital is arrested on theft charges.

Boaters Keep Back : Is It Far Enough?
NEWBURGH, IN - NEWS 25 continuing to follow Monday's fatal boat accident at the Newburgh lock and dam. The lockmaster tells us he sees people fishing too close to the dam too often. Do those signs warning boaters to stay back 150 feet need to be changed?

Additional OMU Rate Increases Not Ruled Out
OWENSBORO - A rate increase for OMU customers was suppose to help bring operating revenues up, but the city utility revenue is below projections. What does that mean for OMU customers?

Newburgh Awarded $50,000 Grant to Study Downtown
NEWBURGH, IN - Newburgh Town Manager Cynthia Burger told us Lt. Governor Becky Skillman awarded Newburgh a $50,000 grant for a downtown revitalization planning study.

Condition Upgraded for Hospitalized Boating Accident Victim
NEWBURGH, IN - NEWS 25 continues to follow developments in a fatal boat accident at the Newburgh Lock and Dam. Two fisherman were thrown off their boat as it was being sucked into one of the gates.

OPD Investigating Warehouse Fire as Arson
OWENSBORO, KY - Owensboro Police say they believe a brush fire behind a warehouse in the 2300 block of W. 2nd Street was intentionally set.  They said the fire caused minor damage to the building and no one was hurt.

ISP: Be Cautious Dealing with Solicitors
INDIANAPOLIS - ISP said they have been receiving complaints from residents and businesses statewide about solicitors who say they are working with the Indiana State Police or other police agencies.  They gave us several tips on how to deal with solicitors in-person or over the phone.

Jasper Police: Man Robbed Cash Advance Store at Gunpoint
JASPER, IN - Police said the robbery happened around 5:45 p.m. at the Advance America in the Jasper Wal-Mart Shopping Center. JPD said an employee reported a white male in his 50's or 60's walked into the store and robbed her at gunpoint.

Watson Lane Widening Project Begins
HENDERSON, KY - Work began Monday on a project that will widen Watson Lane west of US 41.  Kentucky Transportation Cabinet spokesman Keith Todd said each lane of Watson will be restricted to a 9 foot maximum from US 41 to Elm Street while work is going on.  The project is expected to be completed by June.
